Design and Innovation
Combine your passion for food and design for a future career in the growing F&B industry.
With an academic program rich in design workshops, lessons, lectures, the Master's degree in Food Design and Innovation leads you to create new food products, rituals, spaces, and food-making equipment.
This year-long pathway (60 ECTS) is promoted by SPD and IULM University in collaboration with important food and beverage firms. The experience is completed with a three-month internship that allows you to prepare for the next step in your profession.

FOOD DESIGN EXPERIENCE

The Master builds the skills to give a creative contribution to a field, where Italy is the leading benchmark. The program spans various food-related markets, benefiting from an original approach and proven design thinking methodologies. The goal is to train new professionals who can manage the design of food concepts - their aesthetics and presentation - their packaging and communication system, the tools, and equipment for preparation and consumption, the spaces where food is presented and distributed. The faculty comprises designers and chefs, entrepreneurs, food journalists.
Admission. The program admits graduates in design, marketing, communication, food science, and candidates with a different educational background who wish to acquire design tools to start a professional path.
Academic partner. PepsiCo. Project works in collaboration with: Alce Nero, Bahlsen, Bauli, Cioccolati Italiani, Coop, Esselunga, Martí Guixé, Illy, Majani, NaturaSì, Whirlpool.
